Queensland 2 shilling brown shades

The colours are red-brown and pale-brown (also known at the time as light yellow-brown). There are also shades in-between including an ordinary brown.
Red-brown

Pale-brown

This intriguing item was described in an auction catalogue as an 2/- pale red Error of Colour (in the colour of the 1d), excellent centring, manuscript fiscal cancel "29/10/93 [?]" cleaned-off and regummed. The only example they have seen.

The bottom right corner of this stamp is brown, as is the top right corner and the bottom left corner, to a lesser extent. The rest of the stamp is orange-brown / dull orange. It is a lot more orangey than appears in the scan. Placed next to brown or red-brown examples of this issue it appears to be a completely different colour. Unusual
